There were games a plenty in the NIWFA this week with some teams battling for cup glory and others for precious league points.

Raiders approached this game with a sense of urgency that has been lacking in the league and certainly deserved their victory.

In the other semi final Glentoran BU faced champions Crusaders Newtownabbey Strikers and exacted full revenge for two league defeats at the hands of their greatest rivals with a resounding 3-0 win.
The Glens looked to have benefitted from their three European games in Finland and looked much sharper than the Strikers.
Kellie Bailey, Catherine O’Hagan and Amy Corry all scored as the Glens racked up yet another final appearance.
In the Coca Cola Championship cup Fermanagh Mallards cruised into the final with a comfortable 3-0 win over Mark Rimmington’s Dromore.
The Mallards enjoyed their trip back down the motorway and now have a cup final to look forward to after the disappointment of relegation last season.
Nicky Hynes, Lyn McFedrick and Charlie bell were all on target for the Mallards.
In the Championship YMCA still lead the table but are now level on points with Cliftonville and with both teams playing their final games at home it looks like a real nail biting finish.

In the other semi final Armagh and St Matthews have to replay after the game had to be stopped due to bad light.
Portaferry and Knockbreda shared the spoils in a league duel after a 2-2 draw.
The point may yet be enough to save the Ports from relegation as Glenavon have to travel to Armagh in their last game needing to win.
Rebecca Thompson scored twice for the Ports to bring her tally to 5 for the season.

The Spurs recorded a surprise 2-1 win over the Roesiders with Gemma Crumley and Marissa McRory both on target while a solitary strike from Rebecca McMullan too little too late for Limavady.
Derry City reached their first ever final after a penalty shoot out win over Banbridge.
Molly McBride and Alex Hurst traded goals before City progressed to the final with a 4-2 scoreline after penalties.
In Coca Cola division three 1st Bangor turned the tables on champions Bangor with a crushing 6-2 cup victory over their derby rivals.
Hannah Sheffield, one of the division’s top scorers netted a hat trick and was ably assisted by Shona Hewlett, Michelle McGuinness and Jayne Patten.
Suzanne Cull and Natasha Lee replied for a deflated Bangor side.
In the other semi final even home advantage was not enough for Wellington Rec as Ballyvange recorded an unlikely 1-0 win.
Battling Ballyvange were cock-a-hoop at the finish after Lisa Fryer’s sensational winning goal.
In the only league fixture played 1st Bangor ladies continued the run of form beating bottom of the table Abbey Villa 7-0.
Hannah Sheffield with three, Shona Hewlett, Michelle McGuinness and Jayne Patten were all on target for the winners.
The Coca Cola Division four’s cup semi finals were played last week.
In the first match Lisburn Distillery and Crumlin United faced off at Weederburn Park and it was the home side Lisburn that enjoyed a 2-1 win with Lauren Walker and Chantelle Pomeroy both scoring.
Anna McBride’s goal for Crumlin was not enough to force extra time.
In the other semi final PSNI hosted Kilkeel at the Newforge Country Club.
The Kilkeel Ladies were on top form on the night and their 1-0 win ensured that they will take their place in the final
Reserve rivals Glentoran and Linfield were in action last week and in a closely fought contest Glentoran came away with the points after a 3-2 win.
