Match Report

GBU started the game at a high tempo with Laura Hislop putting the ball in the back of the net with only 1min 30 seconds on the clock. Two attempts at goal by Rebecca Craig and one by Catherine O’Hagan kept pressure on the Predators keeper Kim Deraedt.

Predators player Alex Ogle had a shot at goal but this was saved by GBU keeper Katie Farrell. GBU ‘s Kelly Bailie put the score at 2- 0 in the 14th minute from a free kick. In the 30th minute GBU went 3 up when Catherine O Hagan scored from a cross by Demi Vance. GBU Cathryn O’Hagan made it 4 when she volleyed a beautifully weighted cross from Gemma Quigley. GBU’s Demi Vance took a short corner to Laura Hislop who found Catherine O’Hagan who found the back of the net making it 5 – 0 at half time.

Predators Alex Ogle started the second half with an attempt at goal which was once again saved by Katie Farrell. Predators broke through and Emma McPeak fired in a shot which was confidently dealt with by the Glens keeper. Alex Ogle was given a yellow card for a challenge on Glentoran’s Nadine Caldwell in the 49th minute.

GBU made a substitution with Lyndsey Corrie coming on for Jacko McCutcheon in the 61st minute. Predators brought off Nisha Durnien and substituted her with Emma Harper.
Rebecca Craig scored goal number 6 for GBU in the 70minute.
GBU made another substitution on the 71st minute and brought off Rebecca Craig and put on Ashleigh Murray.

Alex Ogle of the Predators was given another yellow followed by a red card for a tackle against Makyla Mullholland in the72nd minute of the game.
GBU substituted Makyla Mullholland with Ashleigh Hutton.
Last goal of the evening went to GBU Catherine O’Hagan in the 82nd minute making her personal total of 4 goals and 7 without reply for Glentoran.

Not surprisingly Catherine O’Hagan was deemed to be the player of the match.
